Glasgow University Union

Glasgow University Union (GUU) is one of the largest and oldest students unions in the UK, serving students of the University of Glasgow since 1885. The Union has been voted the Club Mirror UK Student Union of the year in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and received a Gold Award at Best Bar None 2013 and in 2016. GUU organises social affairs for its members, provides value catering and entertainments and generally seeks to enhance the experience of its members during their time at the University of Glasgow and beyond. GUU has six bars, including the famous Beer Bar, a games room, a Billiards Hall, a shop, a Servery and Subway, a Union Cafe and two libraries to cater for the academic needs of its members. GUU is the most successful debating institution in the world, with 5 World University Debating Championships to its name - more than Oxford and Cambridge combined.
