Appointed May 2001 by the Mayor with the approval of the Borough Council, as the Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police. I am the Chief Administrative Officer responsible and accountable for all aspects of public safety within the Borough of Glen Ridge: Police Fire - Ambulance. I am responsible for approximately 80 employees, of this there are 26 Full Time Police Officers covering an area of 1.3 sq. miles, Volunteer EMS members/Domestic Violence Team Members/ Crossing Guards. Glen Ridge is located 13 miles west of New York City and classified as an Urban/Suburban area
