Global Carbon Council

The Global Carbon Council (GCC) is the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) regions first voluntary carbon offsetting program. GCC aims to contribute to a vision of a sustainable and low-carbon world economy. Our Program receives GHG emission-reduction projects from the entire world, although it places special emphasis on low-carbon development in the MENA region, which has largely remained under-represented in carbon markets. We help catalyze climate action on the ground, while ensuring that project construction and operations do not cause any net-harm to the environment and society and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The GCC program has been approved by CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation) and ICROA (International Carbon Reduction and Offset Alliance).
