Global DIstance Learning Institute

The Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the World Bank established the Global Distance Learning Centre (GDLI) in Abuja as a window for building access to globally relevant resources for both the public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy. This is one of seven such centers funded by the World Bank in seven African countries, with the foundation stone of the Nigeria GDLI laid in June 2005. The Global Distance Learning Institute Abuja is an Affiliate of the Global Development Learning Network (GDLN). The GDLN Affiliates are designed to collaborate in holding events that connect people across countries and regions for learning and dialogue on development issues, along with collaboration with best-in-class institutions around the world to offer various training and skills development courses.
