Gloucester Hartpury Rugby

Formed in 2014, Gloucester-Hartpury Womens RFC is a highly successful joint venture between Gloucester Rugby and Hartpury University and College, the team competes in Premiership Womens Rugby (the PWR formerly known as the Allianz Premier 15s), the highest level of womens rugby in England and regarded as the most competitive league in the world. In 2022, both parties increased their funding for womens rugby, allowing the team to recruit several high calibre players. That season, Gloucester- Hartpury went on to top the league, winning 16 of their 18 fixtures and landing a Holm final at Kingsholm Stadium. Gloucester-Hartpury made history last season by winning the 2022/23 Allianz Premier 15s final for the first time, in front of a packed out Queensholm Stadium. Nearly 10,000 fans made the journey to Kingsholm, the home of Gloucester Rugby, to see Gloucester-Hartpury take the title following a 34-19 win over Exeter Chiefs in front of a record crowd.
