Goh Ballet Academy

Since 1978, Vancouver, Canada has been home to the most decorated and diverse dance institute in the country, Goh Ballet Academy. Established by National Ballet of Chinas Choo Chiat and Lin Yee Goh, Goh Ballet was created to pursue technical and artistic excellence and to celebrate cultural awareness in the dance community. Under the direction of Chan Hon Goh since 2010, former Principal Dancer of the National Ballet of Canada, the Academy continues its legacy of training generations of dancers who garner international praise and accolades. In 2019, Goh Ballet became the first dance training institution with cross-Canadian locations, opening a second school in Toronto. In addition to creation of the Academy, Mr. Gohs vision led him to form the Goh Ballet Youth Company (GBYC) in 1979. Over 35 years later, this performance group serves as an artistic bridge to aspiring young dancers locally and internationally to transition from students to professionals.
