Gordon Timber, based in Nairn in the Highlands of Scotland, has a long history of supplying high quality softwood timber to the British market. The Company was founded in 1862 and since the late 1880s, has been led by four generations of the Gordon family. It is now recognised as one of the top sawmilling companies in the UK. Gordon Timber employs around 90 people at its Nairn site. In 1995 the Company became the first sawmill in the UK to achieve Investors in People status which has been retained to the present day.
