Gorey School of Art

Gorey has a long standing artistic tradition dating back to 1968 with the opening of the Gorey Arts Centre which was the first centre of its kind in Ireland outside of Dublin. Gorey Educational Trust LTD trading as Gorey School of Art is a registered charity (CHY 15873) with 8 directors. It is an independent, voluntary community group actively working with other groups and organisations for the betterment of the artistic and broader communities of Wexford, Ireland. The organisation provides a source of income for artists, facilitators, curators and educators. Gorey School of Art, in partnership with Gorey Community School, provides accredited education in a range of PLC courses and industry recognised training programmes. Gorey School of Art is a hive of creative activity and recognised throughout Ireland by key art institutions and organisations as a centre of excellence.
