Govt. Debendra College

Govt. Debendra College is one of the leading colleges in Bangladesh. It is the highest seat of learning in Manikganj and is considered the light house of knowledge. It was first founded at Terasree in Manikganj in 1942 on the funding of the Zamindar of Terasree, Siddheswar Roy. Proshad Chowdhury and laborious contribution of Sree Himangshu Bhushan Sarkar. Later in 1943, Danobeer Shaeed Ronoda Proshad Shaha funded the college shouldering the expenditure and flourished it at a full length and named the college after his fathers name. It renders education to the students of HSC level under Dhaka Board. It also functions as an affiliated institution of National University, Bangladesh offering degrees: Degree (pass), Honours and Masters.
