Grad Girls - Women 4 STEM

Grad Girls is a FREE 8-month program to support women and non-binary STEM students. Our ultimate goal is to empower our participants in their career trajectory, with the vision of developing future female leaders. Theres still quite a high drop-off rate of women who start studying IT-based degrees and then dont finish or go on to work in a different field explains Vanessa Doake, Chief People Officer from Art Processors (Grad Girls sponsor). Grad Girls was born from this opportunity. While gender-based biases in the hiring practices of many organisations are still being addressed, we realise that equipping women and gender diverse people with industry knowledge and connections can provide a valuable foundation to jumpstart their careers. In this sense, no matter the background or experience, the Grad Girls program works to empower individuals and educate them in putting their best foot forward to build a career within their STEM based vocation.
