Established by the founder of the group, Mr. Shapurji Sorabji. The company opened its first property, the Grand Hotel in Mumbai in 1922. The Grand Hotel in Mumbai is our flagship property, which was designed by George Wittet, one of Mumbais best known architects at the time, who also designed other historical landmarks in Mumbai such as The Price of Wales Museum (now CSMVS), the Gateway of India, Institute of Science, and Bombay House. The Valley View Grand Resort is our second property under the company, which is located in a pristine hill station called Panhala in the Kolhapur district situated at an altitude of 3000 ft. above sea level.
