The Green Building Initiative (GBI) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the built environment and reduce climate impacts through exceptional education, tools, standards, and assessments that deliver sustainable, healthy, and resilient buildings. Our strategy for accomplishing our goals involves education and promotion on the use of GBIs Green Globes certification program for commercial buildings and GBIs Guiding Principles Compliance and third-party assessment program for federal building sustainability requirements.
