Green Business Center

Since 2009, Indonesia has become one of the most emerging markets in South-East Asia. SMEs in Indonesia occupies over 60% of the total GDP, and 99% of total enterprises in Indonesia are SMEs. Given this massive importance of SMEs, along with the growing interest in the field of environment, Indonesia and Korea, the two governments agreed for the need of GBC and settled an agreement of establishing the Indonesia GBC by signing an MOU during the ASEM Forum 2010 on Green Growth and SMEs in Seoul. Established in July 2011, under the form of a matching-fund by the two governments, GBC is currently operated by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of Indonesia (KUKM) and ASEM SMEs Eco-Innovation Center (ASEIC).
