GSMB Technical Services (PVT) Ltd is a subsidiary company of Geological Survey and Mines Bureau and fully controlled by the Ministry of Environment. The company has established on 12th September 2001 as a fully government owned limited liability company by registrar of companies under the company Act No 17 of 1982. The company holds a share capital of 66.66% by Geological Survey & Mines Bureau, 16.67% by National Gem & Jewelry Authority and 16.67 % owned by Lanka Phosphate Limited. GSMB Technical Services (Pvt) Ltd is the only government organization in Sri Lanka that has capability to provide the Technical Knowledge, Manpower Resources, Equipment including Analytical Laboratories and the technical consultation needed for the industry.
