The Bulgarian Guarantee Fund, established in 1997, is an organisation with a significant role to play in protecting the interests of citizens, ensuring social justice and maintaining stability and public confidence in the insurance sector. It is a full member of the COB - Council of Bureaux. The funds managed by the Guarantee Fund guarantee the right to compensation of those innocently injured in road accidents involving uninsured vehicles and secure the guaranteed claims of insured persons in the event of the insolvency of an insurer. As a high-tech organisation, the Guarantee Fund facilitates the full information provision to citizens, the insurance sector and various institutions.
