GWRDC

The Grape and Wine Research and Development Corporation delivers innovation for a competitive and sustainable Australian wine industry. Established in 1991 under the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act 1989, the GWRDC is an Australian Government statutory authority. Governed by a Board of Directors, its national operations are directed from its Adelaide office. The GWRDC supports the development of the Australian wine industry by planning and funding collective research and development programs and then facilitating the dissemination, adoption and commercialisation of the results throughout the industry. The GWRDC invests in R&D from existing providers (such as CSIRO, state agencies, universities and The Australian Wine Research Institute) on behalf of the Australian wine industry. The GWRDCs funding for R&D investment comes from levies on the annual grape harvest and wine yield, with the Australian Government matching these funds
