Hacienda San Agustin de Callo

One hour south of Quito (77 km) nestled within the Avenue of the Volcanoes stands this unique hacienda, San Agustin de Callo, built on the site of an Inca palace, and one of the most important archaeological Inca sites in Ecuador. It is the point furthest north from Cusco of Imperial style construction and constitutes the only lived-in museum of Inca Imperial and Spanish Colonial style. With only eleven rooms, San Agustin is one of the most romantic spots for honeymoons, anniversaries, weddings and other special occasions. Rooms come with ensuite bathrooms and fireplaces in all of the bedrooms and in several of the bathrooms. Other celebrations and typical local festivities are offered at the hacienda.
