The Hamdi Ulukaya Initiative (HUG in Turkish) is an entrepreneur support program launched in 2017 by Hamdi Ulukaya, CEO of Chobani, one of the fastest growing food companies of the last decade. HUG offers two programs for anyone who believes in their dreams: the HUG Startup Support Program helps startups founded in Turkey access global markets. The HUG Fellow Support Program discovers young leaders from Turkey and encourages them to start their own businesses. HUG participants attend yearlong trainings in Istanbul and New York at Chobanis in-house Incubator and at New York University. HUG is founded on Hamdi Ulukayas vision that businesses have the power to transform societies in a positive way. The initiative supports entrepreneurs who are interested not just in financial success, but also in increasing social welfare as a whole.
