Happy Child International

Happy Child International is an organisation that champions the rights of the most at risk children and teenagers in the deprived areas of Belo Horizonte and Recife in Brazil and Lubango, Angola. Since its inception in 1993, 11,500 childrens lives have been transformed because of Happy Child and their mission to support and protect. The charity strives to counter the devastating effects of child poverty and abuse by rescuing children from the streets, where possible reintegrating them with their families and communities, working in the favelas to prevent child exploitation and rehabilitating abused children through work in its project homes. 3 main areas of the work of Happy Child:- - Advocacy & Global Campaigning (UK) - Child & Family Care (Brazil & Angola, Africa) - Research & Advisory Happy Childs Advocacy and Global campaigning services, in parliament in London on behalf of neglected and exploited children and adolescents.
