Harbor Shores

Harbor Shores was designed and developed to assist in the economic improvement of Benton Harbor and surrounding communities. The 500+ acre development was home to abandoned buildings, factories and toxic waste sites. Passionate members of the community worked together to bring Harbor Shores together. Enough waste was removed from the area to fill a football field 70 feet high! Jack Nicklaus made his mark on the property by designing a course that represents multiple layouts in one. Starting inland, heading into the dunes on Lake Michigan and going through the woodlands on the Paw Paw river to finish. Jack Nicklaus regards Harbor Shores as one of his finest accomplishments and is the only Signature design on Lake Michigan. Hosting 4 Major Championships in 8 years is no easy task and Harbor Shores is the proud home to the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.
