Hawaii Land Trust

Hawaii Land Trust (HILT) is Hawaiis islands-wide land trust that is both a Hawaii 501(c)3 nonprofit, and a nationally accredited land trust. HILT formed in 2011 from a merger of four island land trusts on Maui, Oahu, Hawaii Island, and Kauai. A dedicated Board of Directors representing all major islands guides HILT, supported by a lean and hard working staff. HILT has protected over 22,000 acres across Hawaii, through 8 community preserves owned and stewarded by HILT, 53 conservation easements protecting agricultural, ecological, and cultural resources on private lands, and 5 facilitated conservation transactions.
