Headwaters is a collective of farmers who are passionate about doing things better. Established in 2007 to breed ewes with higher levels of fat to thrive in the hill country, our farmers now run a quarter of a million breeding ewes. The breeding programme has resulted in a top-performing ewe with high fertility and resilience that produces lambs with strong growth rates and unique fat composition. We knew that if we had the right system we would discover things, and when we discovered things wed have the right system to do something about it Andy Ramsden, Founding Headwaters shareholder. We are especially focused on ewe condition we know that whats better for the ewe is optimal for the lamb, and ultimately consumers. We have a joint venture with Alliance Group, and we believe this integration is essential for marketplace innovation based on consistency of specification and certainty of supply
