Health Design Studio at OCADU

The Health Design Studio at OCADU works to bring an inclusive and interdisciplinary design approach to healthcare design challenges. Much of the work focuses on design for safety critical and high sensitivity topics, including the dosing, ordering, tapering, and management of opiates, and communication at end of life. Drawing upon long-standing collaborative partnerships with healthcare partners, the Health Design Studio supports researchers to develop designs to support health transitions, health design and transformation tools, supportive and inclusive design techniques, and exemplary design in health collaborations with an emphasis on knowledge dissemination and mobilization. This research is needed to facilitate effective change in the health sector.
