Helen Keller Institute for Deaf & Deafblind (HKIDB) is a premier institute for the education, training and rehabilitation of the Deaf and Deafblind in India and the rest of South East Asia. (Late) Mrs. Beroz Vacha founded the institute with two other teachers in 1977 with the strong belief that no one is incapable of being taught. HKIDB is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards. HKIDB is a registered NGO under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. All donations to it are exempt under Section 80-G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Vision: No one is incapable of being taught and no one can do without education. It is the fundamental birthright of every child to be loved and educated.
