The Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (H.S.G.M.E.) is a public law legal entity, supervised by the Greek Minister of Environment and Energy. The HSGME is responsible to investigate and scientifically monitor geological and mining issues on behalf of the Greek State, as well as to conduct geological, hydrogeological and mining research in Greece along with exercising control and regulatory powers.
