Henan University of Engineering was founded in 2007 as authorized by the National Ministry of Education and Henan Provincial Government as a public college of higher education. With a total area of 440 acres, HNIE has three campuses (the head campus, the north campus and the south campus). The north campus is situated on Tongbai Road. The other two campuses (the head campus and the south campus) are located to the south of the city in the Longhu Development Zone of Xinzheng City. The construction area of the institute is over 600,000 square meters. Covering a much larger total area, the new campus is beautifully arranged and has all the teaching equipment and facilities of a modern university. HNIE now has more than 25,000 students. At present, HNIE consists of 16 bachelor degree programs and 59 programs for three year students.
