Im Flavio, Founder at High Bridge. Ive always been astonished at the professional skills gap of young people joining their first companies. Universities innovate slowly that is the harsh reality. They lack the incentives to adapt to rapid market changes. On the other hand, companies often underinvest in training their new recruits - and rather choose to not assign them roles of responsibility. The result? A lose-lose situation, where the talent and motivation of recruits get wasted as they are given little or no real responsibilities at work for a long time.
