Founded over 30 years ago, the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) is dedicated to saving and transforming lives. As one of the first NGOs in South Africa to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, HACT has established a reputation for making a significant and meaningful impact in the lives of those both infected and affected by the disease. HACTs mission is to provide unconditional love and hope to all those impacted by HIV/AIDS. Collectively our projects directly impact the lives of over 10 000 people every year, the majority of whom are women, orphaned and vulnerable children and young people at risk. HACT adopts a holistic, family-centric and asset-based approach to tackling HIV/AIDS and strives at all times to deliver practical, sustainable and community-led projects which ultimately uplift and empower those we work for and alongside.
