Hillz FM 98.6 Community Radio station

Hillz community radio was established in 2004 by Hillfields based charity, WATCH (Working Actively To Change Hillfields) to give the local community a voice. The station first broadcast from the WATCH centre in June 2005, when a four week Restricted Service Licence (RSL) was obtained. This created tremendous local enthusiasm and excitement showing the potential for a community radio station. Two further RSL took place before the station was awarded a community radio licence in June 2009. This expired in June 2014 and we then received a new 5 year license up to 2019 from OFCOM
