Home Is The Foundation

H.I.T. Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization serving low-income residents of Preble County Ohio. Our three programs are Affordable Housing, Senior Home Repair, and Homeless Services. H.I.T. Foundation was founded in 2003. Inspiration for Home Is the Foundation came during our founders drive home from work almost 20 years ago. As she drove past several homes, she was reminded that many people in our small, rural community lived in poverty. She wondered how many children lived in those homes and how poverty and inadequate housing affected their lives. By combining services and partnering with additional community service agencies, educating our clients, and the community support of H.I.T. Foundation, we are able to foster stability, empowerment, and provide the best services possible to our clients to support our mission and vision that Everyone in Preble County should have a safe and affordable place to call HOME.
