Homeart is a national retailer with 140 stores and 850 employees across Australia specialising in homewares, manchester, small electrical goods, kitchenware, toys and outdoor goods. The company was established in 1979 in Melbourne, Copperart as it was originally known, opened its first store selling a unique range of mostly copper and brass products. Through its heavy use of television advertising, Copperart grew and fast became a household name. By the year 2000 the product range in the Copperart stores had changed dramatically and bore little resemblance to original concept and the copper and brass had virtually disappeared. In its place was an exciting new range of contemporary, everyday, household items that made up an inventory of everything from cookware to manchester, outdoor leisure and fitness products, as well as toys, electrical, furniture and much more.
