Behind the Power of Dreams in Southern Africa is Honda Motor Southern Africa. Honda Motor Southern Africa (Honda SA) sells Honda passenger cars and SUVs, as well as Honda motorcycles, Honda power products and Honda Marine models, throughout Southern Africa including Mauritius, Tanzania, Zambia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Angola, Seychelles, Malawi, Kenya and Uganda. Originally launched in October 2000 as Honda South Africa, evolving to become Honda Motor Southern Africa provided the brand with a stepping stone into Southern Africa. The company acts as a regional hub for Honda Motor Japan, exporting into the SADC market. Initially operating from humble premises in Kyalami, Honda SA had a head office headcount of just 45 persons, and retail network of 36 motorcycle and 30 power product dealers.
