Hope and Health

Hope and Health began in 2011, with the desire to bring together Indigenous communities in a positive, educational, and inspirational way. Through feedback from the community, we learned that too often the community was brought together through tragedy or injustice. In partnership with Kwumut Lelum and the Whitecaps FC, we launched our inaugural community camp event in Nanaimo, BC. Due to the incredible levels of community engagement, we were able to expand this event across the Salish Sea to add a second community camp for Indigenous children and youth. With our values and goals in mind, in 2017, we launched Hope and Health at Home H3. Through our wonderful community partners Indigenous children and youth are able to participate and learn from our 16 modules, which themes and skill building focus on life, leadership, and social development.
