HORI (U.K.) Ltd. is the EMEA division of HORI Co., Ltd. (), the leading Japanese video game accessory maker. Founded in 1967, the company started off as a manufacturer and supplier of components for video and audio equipment. With the arrival of the 80s, however, it entered a completely new stage as a pioneer in the by then-emerging video game industry. In 1983 it became Nintendos first licensed accessory partner, a crucial move whose outcome encouraged the company to subsequently establish similar relationships with Sega, Sony, Microsoft, and Apple. At present, HORI focuses fully on the design and manufacture of accessories for consoles.
