Hornsby Tire Distributors was founded in Ariton, Alabama in 1967 by Mr. Bobby Hornsby. Mr. Hornsby began operations in a renovated church with one International pickup truck. Mr. Roger Hornsby purchased the company from his father in 1995. Under Rogers leadership, the company experienced its first round of growth with an additional distribution center in Dothan, Alabama. New ownership and senior management was ushered into the business at the end of 2009 and quickly built upon the foundation that Mr. Hornsby provided. In 2011 we began our next wave of expansion as we established a greenfield distribution center in the growing Huntsville, Alabama market. The year 2012 brought two major initiatives - the first being the consolidation of our Ariton and Dothan facilities into a new and much larger Dothan, Alabama distribution center.
