Built in the first half of the 19th century, Hotel Chais Monnet is now open! Located in a former Cognac warehouse on the banks of the Charente River, Chais Monnet has 92 guest rooms and suites and 13 apartments. Our 120-cover brasserie and 50-cover gourmet restaurant are headed by Chef Paolo Boscaro, who was awarded a Michelin star in his former establishment; our jazz bar has live music on Fridays and Saturdays, fabulous cocktails, and an atmosphere redolent of New Orleans in its prime. Our tearoom serves afternoon tea complete with delicious French cakes and pastries.
