Hubei University of Technology

Hubei University of Technology is located in Wuhan, the provincial capital of Hubei. As a famous historical and cultural city of China, Wuhan has the biggest college student population (over 1.2 million) among major cities of the world. Hubei University of Technology is a multi-discipline university with Engineering as its specialty, and covering other disciplines such as Liberal Arts, Science, Economics, Management, Law and Education. It was originally established in 1952 as Hubei Academy of Agricultural Machinery. In 1984, it merged with Hubei Institute of Light Industry to form Hubei Polytechnic Institute, and was renamed as Hubei University of Technology in 2004. The university has an area of over 1.06 km2 and a floor area of more than 900,000 m2.
