Hudson Eye Physicians and Surgeons, LLC evolved from the practice of Alfonse A Cinotti, MD. Dr Alfonse Cinotti began his practice in a small office on Beach Street in the Heights section of Jersey City in 1950. He later moved his office to the Seton Hall Medical School, located at Jersey City Medical Center, where he became chief of the department of Ophthalmology. In the late 60s UMDNJ was founded and the Seton Hall Medical School closed. Dr. Cinotti became chief of the Department of Ophthalmology while continuing in his busy Jersey City Practice. Dr. A Cinotti was a past president of the American Society of Ophthalmology. Dr Cinotti retired in 1992, but still serves the community as an ophthalmologist in a clinic in Florida. The practice that Dr. Cinotti started continued to grow and in 1974 Barry Maltzman, MD, completed his residency and joined Dr. Cinotti in practice.The practice became known as Hudson Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
