Huis van Heerde Childrens Home

Huis van Heerde Child and Youth Care Centre, a Programme of Badisa, cares for 70 children on a daily basis. These children are either orphaned or placed in the care of the organization through the Childrens Court due to social, emotional or physical damages endured within their home life. Huis van Heerde Childrens Home seeks to effectively address these social, emotional and physical damages through creating a well-balanced, loving and safe space for the children to grow up in, ensuring that we give each child the opportunity to write their own success story as adults returning to their communities. These children come from all over the Swartland and West Coast districts and communities, within the Western Cape of South Africa. As an NPO, the organization is dependent on its surrounding communities, organizations and businesses for assistance financially, apart from the Governmental subsidy granted for each child.
