HWUM Society of Actuarial Science

Society of Actuarial Science of Heriot-Watt University Malaysia (HWUMSAS) is a young society established in 2015. SAS is a platform that provides future actuaries the opportunity for professional, academic and personal development which will aid them to be outstanding candidates for employment in the industry upon graduation. With the evolution of modern era, we are focusing on how students can incorporate and be on par with this change. Vision: To expand the actuarial network to the outside world in a foreseeable future and to organize career-building programmes with companies in the actuarial field. Mission: To foster a good relationship and enlighten the community among Actuarial Science students. We also aim to connect and collaborate our interest with other Actuarial Science societies in Malaysia. We hope to support students who may face difficulties in their studies and ensure a smooth progress in their university courses
