Preparing young people for tomorrow! This is the mission of the Icasu Foundation, which began operating in Uberlandia in 1967. The establishment of ICASU received public attention because of the importance of its work for the Triangulo Mineiro region. At the start of its activities, ICASU began by donating food baskets to needy families. In 1974, the institutions vision was broadened with a concern for social promotion. Since then, young people have been the focus of the organization, which offers Training for Work and Young Apprentice courses, guiding them to their first job. In these 50 years, more than 40,000 young people aged between 14 and 24 have passed through ICASU. The work is financed by the employers fee that comes from the market hiring the young people qualified by the institution.
