I address concerns regarding students attendance, grades, and discipline with students, parents, and school staff. While I work particularly with 9th and 10th graders, as needed I work with all grade levels. I am also the SSIKE Adviosr; SSIKE (Successful Students Inspired through Knowledge & Education) is a student-driven, diversity group which focuses on the individuals academic potential with special emphasis placed on nurturing the GPA (grade point average) and on postsecondary education. SSIKE aims to create awareness for issues relating to students of diverse backgrounds and their potential for academic success. SSIKE (and its parent organization) looks to remove barriers and create access to academic and co-curricular opportunities. SSIKE also investigates the role culture plays in the academic, personal and social lives of West High students.
