IEC Texas Gulf Coast Formed in 1927, the Independent Electrical Contractor (IEC) Texas Gulf Coast Chapter is a productive association, composed of electrical professionals whose mission is to promote the success of all electrical contractors preferring to remain independent or open shop. Being the quality symbol for the electrical industry in Houston, the IEC represents over 200+ electrical contractors and over 2,000+ journeyman electricians, associates and engineers. The IEC has been an instrumental tool in interacting with local, state and national officials on legislation that has improved the industry, while simultaneously making the workplace environment safer. It is the IECs Executive Director and Board of Directors objective to keep its members apprised of the electrical markets perpetual development.
