Institute of Foreign Trade and Management (IFTM) was established in Moradabad in 1996, by a family of public spirited entrepreneurs, led by social figure and philanthropist Late Sri Onkar Saran Kothiwal, under the administrative and academic leadership of Dr. R.M. Dubey, its founder Director with BBA, MBA and MIB programmes of Management. This was the first Institute in the region to conceptualize and successfully run these programmes. The Institute later added B.Pharm, M. Pharm, BCA and MCA programmes.
