Formally incorporated in 2002 as the International Forum of Visual Practitioners, the IFVP remains the oldest and largest professional membership organization for professionals dedicated to using graphics and live drawing in the context of group facilitation and collaborative work. Although incorporated in 2002, the roots of our profession extend formally back to the 1970s (and much further back if you consider the history of visuals over the eons!)
