IITD-AIA Foundation For Smart Manufacturing

SAMARTH stands for Smart Advanced Manufacturing and Transformation Hub. Samarth Udyog is the name given by the Ministry of Heavy Industry under the aegis of Government of India to their initiative of empowering and enabling the Indian manufacturing sector in light of the changing global manufacturing scenario and for increasing the competitiveness of the Indian Capital goods through smart manufacturing. Under the Samarth Udyog plans, Indian Institute of Technology at Delhi (IITD) and Automation Industry Association (AIA) have joined hands and would be aided by Ministry of Heavy Industry (GOI) to create a Center that helps, supports, develops technology for Indian Industry for the right understanding and implementation of concepts of Smart manufacturing.
