Illinois Tutoring Initiative

The Illinois Tutoring Initiative (ITI) stems from work of the Illinois P-20 Council in spring 2021 to identify evidence-based strategies for learning renewal and supports for students, educators, and the broader community as part of pandemic recovery. The resulting P-20 Council Learning Renewal Resource Guide (March 2021) highlighted 12 priority areas for learning renewal, including a focus on providing extended learning experiences through high-impact tutoring. Subsequently, high-impact tutoring was identified as one of four pillar initiatives for state-wide implementation.
