INESC-ID

INESC-ID (Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores - Investigacao e Desenvolvimento) is a private, not-for-profit institution established in 1999, dedicated to advanced R&D+I in the fields of Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering. It holds the official status of public interest and is jointly owned by IST and INESC. Since December 2004, the institution has the status of Laboratorio Associado of the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
