The Innocence Project Brasil, a non-profit association created in December 2016, is the first Brazilian organization specifically focused on addressing the serious issue of innocent convictions in the country. In addition to seeking to reverse miscarriages of justice, our mission is to provoke debate about their causes and propose solutions to prevent their occurrence. As part of a global effort to improve justice, we have integrated the Innocence Network, a network that has 71 organizations around the world. We are also part of the Red Inocente, organization that is present in 9 Latin American countries and Spain
