Inspire Society

Inspire is a non-profit, social-awareness and development organization founded by the Mechanical Engineering students of Government Engineering College, Barton Hill, that works to ensure the education and holistic development of children residing in shelter homes across Kerala. Inspire presently reaches out to almost one thousand children residing in over ten shelter homes across Trivandrum and Kottayam. The volunteers spend between 2 and 4 hours a week with the children, mentoring, interacting, and generally spending time with the children, so that they receive the support, care and guidance they need during childhood. We follow a two-pronged approach to ensure that the children are well-equipped to lead an independent life free from exploitation, once they leave the shelter home: - Empower the children to fulfill their potential and ensure that they receive equitable opportunities.
